PROJECT PROFILE

The Government of Bangladesh undertook this project with financial assistance from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The new bridges consist of 4-lanes and have been constructed adjacent to the existing bridges. Rehabilitation and renovation works of the existing three bridges have also been executed as part of this project contract. The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity and to enhance the efficiency of transport between Dhaka and Chattogram, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth of Bangladesh.
