DESIGNATION: PROJECT MANAGER
About the Position
This is a challenging role which demands a combination of hard and soft skills. The Project Manager (PM) will oversee all activities of a construction project. The PM must have adequate managerial and leadership capacity. He must have excellent computer literacy and presentation skills. The PM must prepare and maintain all construction related paperwork and documents (must have strong documentation skills). He must attend regular meetings, negotiate and liaise with foreign clients. The PM must have strong communication skills with good command over written and spoken English. He must also supervise the daily site activities and ensure timely completion of the project.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- The applicant must have MINIMUM 10 YRS. experience in structural and construction work.
- The applicant must have adequate managerial and leadership experience.
- The applicant should have sound knowledge in rate analysis, present market price of all construction materials and preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- The applicant must have strong documentation skills.
- Prepare construction related tenders/quotations.
- Prepare and maintain all construction related documents.
- Prepare and submit detailed Method Statement before start of work.
- Prepare work schedules and progress reports.
- Develop written procedures for quality assurance/quality control in worksite.
- Identify, analyze and resolve problems and issues with quality assurance and control for various construction sites.
- Review contractual agreements thoroughly. Identify and resolve any violation of terms and conditions in the field.
- Review drawings and specifications, and monitor supply of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with the specifications.
- Supervise construction works and ensure proper execution with desired performance.
- Review methods of workmanship before casting, excavation, erection, and related works.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients and stakeholders on behalf of the Company.
- Present feedback to the Company Management on project performance.
- Coordinate and conduct Inspection Meetings with engineers and contractors.
- Supervise preparation of as-built drawings.
- Establish health, safety and environmental protection practices in the project.
Educational Requirements
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
Experience Requirements
10 years or more
Additional Job Requirements
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Should be thorough in MS Word & Excel and satisfactory knowledge in Microsoft Project and Power Point.
- ENGINEERING SOFTWARE: Should have adequate knowledge in Auto CAD and Staad Pro.
- LANGUAGE: Should have good command in English with strong communication skills.
